FOSSICKING MAPS AND GPS WAYPOINTS
There are 3 separate CD’s dealing with 3 different parts of Australia.
TIBOOBURRA GOLD. This CD deals with the goldfield areas in the Mt Brown
Tibooburra goldfield of Far North West NSW. This area is noted for gold nuggets
GPS waypoints, tips on navigation, vehicles, local communications and the phone
numbers of local landowners to facilitate permission to enter and fossick. A number
of photographs of the area allow you to get a look at this fabulous country before
you even leave home.
WESTRALIAN GOLD is similar in content but covers a much wider area. WA’s
Eastern Goldfields, Murchison and Pilbara goldfields are all included. There are 60
GPS waypoints, 20 maps with 26 separate locations and advice on all. There are
many tips on powering your bush camp, obtaining water, communications and a
great deal of WA Mines Department information. 200 goldfield photographs are also
included on the CD.
CLERMONT GOLD is again very similar in content to the above CDs with the main
difference that most of the information is aimed at helping the fossickers find their
way around the Clermont goldfields. Other Qld goldfields such as, Charters Towers,
George Town, and Cloncurry get some coverage. 56 photos of Qld goldfields are
included.
Most of the areas covered are mainly for gold but as usual many different
gemstones can be found amongst the goldfields throughout Australia.
MAKING SIMPLE NUGGET JEWELLERY is a DVD designed to help people turn
their gold nuggets and fine gold into stunning pieces of unique and natural nugget
jewellery. There are 45 minutes of video instruction covering gold soldering to make
pendants and attaching gold ear posts to small nuggets to make great looking
earrings. There are also 3 pages of notes for your workbench.
Each CD costs $29.50 including postage while the DVD is $33.00 including postage.
